Scent and Colour-Free Enzyme-based Instrument Presoak and Cleaner


Medzyme Scent & Colour-Free is the leading scent-free and colour-free non-toxic, enzyme-based pre-soak and cleaner for endoscopes and fibre-optical and surgical instruments. It is a bacteria-free formula designed to dissolve and remove protein and other organic matter, such as blood, mucous, feces and albumin. Medzyme Scent & Colour-Free is not a single or dual enzyme; it is a multi-enzyme formula with a high percentage of actives, allowing it to serve as a pre-soak for manual decontamination of ultrasonic and scope washers. Its neutral pH and low-foam formula ensures it’s safe to use on all medical instruments, including fibre optics, rubber, plastic, stainless steel and any other surface that is not harmed by water.

Add 15 mL per 4.5 L (1/2 oz. per 1 imp. gal.) of water. For heavy use or adherent organic load, use 30 to 60 mL per 4.5 L (1 to 2 oz. per 1 imp. gal.) of water. Pre-soak instruments as required for 1 to 3 minutes. Rinse and follow standard decontamination procedures. If equipment is to be stored, dry thoroughly. Discard the solution after each use.

Medzyme Scent & Colour-Free can be used in cold water and temperatures ranging up to 40°C (100°F). Temperatures higher than 46°C (115°F) will harm the product.

Medzyme Scent & Colour-Free is non-toxic and is not considered hazardous material and may be safely disposed down the drain. The container is a high-density polyethylene – a plastic that can be recycled.
